  • Mr. Sulayman Takyeddine
    Lebanese lawyer and jurist; author on history, politics and law. Amongst his numerous publications in Arabic are a Study of the Confessional Question in Lebanon (1984), a Survey of the Families of the Shuf Region (1999), and Studies of the History of the Shuf based on Documents (1999).   • Mr. Nadim Shehadi
    Director of the Centre for Lebanese Studies, Oxford. Activist on Lebanese & Middle Eastern studies. Associate fellow of the Middle East Programme at the Royal Institute Affairs in London (Chatham House). Co-editor of several books, amongst them: A History of Conflict and Consensus (Dana Haffar), London, 1988; Politics and The Economy in Lebanon (Bridget Harney), Oxford and London, 1989; The Lebanese in the World: A Century of Emigration (Albert Hourani), London, 1993; Lebanon On Hold: Implications for Middle East Peace (Rosemary Hollis), London, 1996. Mr. Shehadi is the convener of the D.H.F conferences at Oxford.
